Mohan Breweries and Distilleries Limited (MBDL)

MBDL is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and is one of the leaders in Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) and beer products. The company was established in 1982. The operation is owned by the Nandha family and manufactures spirits, beers, glass bottles, power, sugar, and bagasse. When formed this was a technical collaboration with the New Delhi based Mohan Meakin Limited (MML), pioneers in the liquor industry with an experience of more than 150 years dating back to 1855. Worth noting from the company’s production are the following brandy, vodka, and beers: Vorion 6000, Old Napoleon, Goldfinch, Madras Pilsner, and Golden Eagle.

Shoba was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She married Nate Nandha and subsequently gained professional experience in the MBDL operations. She served as a Director in MBDL prior to relocating to California in 2011. She’s driven to results as a goal oriented executive with more than ten years of management and controller experience in distribution and service industries. Her primary roles at Nandha Wines are to launch, manage, and direct the business.

Matthew S. Mendis

Matthew S. Mendis is Managing Director and co-founder of C-Quest Capital, LLC, a carbon finance firm based in Washington, DC. CQC originates carbon assets and trade aggressively in the rapidly growing global and niche carbon markets. Mr. Mendis is responsible for deal origination and equity investments. Mr. Mendis has been actively involved in clean energy project development and finance for the past 25 years and in over 45 countries around the globe. In such capacities he was introduced to the Nandha family in India and has worked closely for them as an advisor on multiple business projects.

Marketing Manager
Elan P. Feinstein was born & raised in Washington, D.C. & subsequently graduated cum laude from Rice University in Houston, Texas. From a young age, Elan has been devoted to exploring global trends particularly in the present digital world. As marketing manager at Nandha Wines, he is enthralled to explore the fascinating and global market of wine importing & exporting. Prior to joining the Nandha team, he worked in real estate in the Washington, DC area & as a radio programmer for Clear Channel Communications. An avid traveler, Elan welcomes the combination of business travel & building relationships internationally to fulfill Nandha Wines mission of exporting fine wines the world over.

Sales Manager
Chieko is a Tokyo-born health advocate, yogini, wine aficionada, and Japanese interpreter. She has experience in matters relating to e-commerce, consumer advocacy, wine sales, administrative matters & East Asian business. Before joining the Nandha team, she worked as an Interpreter at world-renowned theme parks like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando where she translated for various departments. She also served as a connector between the Japanese and global markets in a multitude of different industries for nearly two decades. To this day, she is continuing her mission to assist in Asia’s overall market expansion.

Elan Feinstein

Administrative Assistant
Eduardo is a passionate young filmmaker who is also fascinated by the world of wine. Prior to joining the Nandha team, he worked as a video production teacher at his alma mater, YES PREP, back in Houston, Texas. Before becomoing a school teacher, he graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor's in Film & Media Studies. Eduardo brings a level of passion and vigor to the Nandha team that is immensely captured by his youth. He is well-qualified to assist Nandha in matters of organizational tasks, administrative duties & some marketing & budget planning. He is a welcome addition to the Nandha team.
